Civil War Roundtable of Charleston, SC

The roundtable usually meets on the 2nd. Tuesday of alternating months for lectures, presentations and other educational programs related to the War Between the States. Regular and special meetings are listed on the Charleston Civil War Events Schedule

Past programs have included:

a lecture by Ed Bearss, Chief Historian of the National Park Service, on the Morris Island Campaign of 1863;
a speech by J.E.B. Stuart IV on his great grandfather's career in the Confederate army
a presentation on Blockade Running by author Stephen R. Wise.
On November 7, 1996, a special talk by Pat Brennan, author of Secessionville, Assault on Charleston.
Glenn McConnell speaking on the Hunley Submarine recovery project and completing the journey home.
