2. Our foreign policy must demand more from those allies that have grown strong under U.S. military protection.
3. Federal judges that rule illegal aliens are entitled to the services and rights of citizens create U.S. border problems. Our international needs demand that the Senate not confirm any judge that wants to 'save the world' with his or her gavel. We can't afford it!
DEBT/DEFICIT
1. The time for "reducing the deficit" is gone.
We must balance the budget, NOW!!!
2. Until working Americans get automatic Cost of Living Increases Federal workers should not!
3. As long as we have a large debt Congress needs inflation so the pile of borrowed dollars will be worth less each year. This is a hidden tax on every American with a savings account.
DEFENSE
1. Much of the waste in the Department of Defense is caused by the Congress.
2. Congress is more interested in pork barrel spending than defense spending.
3. We need someone that understands the high tech. weaponry needs of the military. We must buy smart for we no longer can afford to buy everything!
EDUCATION
1. The primarly problem with America's schools is the Education bureaucracy
2. Congress has relinquished their responsibility to demand an 'A+' report card from the Education establishment. Instead they let Education 'experts' continue to break a system that worked just fine until it was polluted with Education theory.
3. A first step in returning our schools to the teachers and parents is to require the next genration of teachers to obtain a degree with a major in anythingbut Education! This will destory the power base of the education establishment.
MORALS, FAMILY VALUES, ABORTION
1. If morality could be legislated we would have no murder and the lion would lie down with the lamb. We must concentrate on insuring freedomof religion rather than passing laws to support religion. Liberals know moral legislation will produce an America free from religion. That's why they want morals discussed in Congress and not in the churches.
2. We must vote people with a firm grasp of reality and solid personal character into political office. Anyone can say they are for family values and against abortion. How many will honestly tell you what they actually can accomplish in Washington?
3. Charlie Thompson has consistently shown the courage and character needed to face tough issues. That's what voters say they want in a candidate. That's certainly what South Carolina will need on the floor of the Senate!
